Dayton Castleman is an artist, curator, educator, and administrator based in northwest Arkansas. His multi-modal studio practice spans sculpture, painting, photography, and performance, and undergirds his role as Director of Creative Placemaking at Verdant Studio, a woman-founded and owned architecture firm based in Rogers, AR.

Born and raised in New Orleans, he has lived and worked in Jackson, Miss., Houston, Philadelphia, and Chicago. His artwork has been included in museum and gallery exhibitions throughout the United States and in Europe.

His research has focused on artwork in architectural and public spaces for the past 18 years, and his research interests include art ecosystem development, visual perception theory, and religion in art.

He holds a BA in Art with a painting concentration from Belhaven University, and an MFA in Sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

He lives with his wife Karen and their children Anna, Zoe, and Fletcher in downtown Rogers, Arkansas.
