Stop sign, bullet holes
This work is inspired by the shot up road signs of my youth, and the possibilities of encoding Braille in unique spaces. I sat on this idea for a while, unable to justify the selection of a specific caliber of bullet. Then one day in late 2015, sitting in a consultation with a neurosurgeon, he told me I had a 9mm brain tumor. Among thoughts that it sucked to be headed toward brain surgery, I finally knew what bullet to use for this piece.
